In this digital seminar, we analyzed the participation of Chilean micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Asia-Pacific trade and the challenges of making an export leap. We reviewed the current state of exports in this segment, its evolution in recent years, and its presence in key Asia-Pacific markets. We also addressed the main obstacles MSMEs face when internationalizing, as well as the opportunities offered by services exports, business associations, digital commerce, and the Chilean startup ecosystem.
The speakers were Lorena Sepúlveda, National director of ProChile; Carlos Kuriyama, director of the APEC Policy Support Unit; and Manuel José Rengifo, director of the Chilean Entrepreneurs Association (ASECH) and CEO of Emprende-T.
