In this digital seminar, we spoke with the Ambassador of Indonesia to Chile, H.E. Vedi Kurnia Buana, as part of our Ambassadors Series. We examined the state of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Chile and Indonesia —including the services chapter incorporated last year and the negotiation of an investment chapter—, as well as the trade and investment opportunities it opens, with particular emphasis on the mining complementarity between Chilean lithium and Indonesian nickel for electromobility, Chile's potential in renewable energy, and the opportunities in the agri-food sector. We also addressed Indonesia's view of Chile as a gateway to Latin America, its relationship with ASEAN and the RCEP, and Indonesia's recent accession to the BRICS, among other topics.
