Webinar: Geopolitics of the Asia Pacific and Challenges for Chile’s Foreign and Trade Policy

In this webinar, we addressed the major geopolitical trends in the Asia Pacific, including the evolution of the relations between China and the United States, the rising of India as a regional power, their effects on economic dynamics and strategic challenges out of this changing landscape for Chile's political and trade projection in the region.

The speakers were Paulina Nazal, member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Council of Chile and former general director of the Directorate of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (currently SUBREI); Jorge Heine, former ambassador of Chile to India and China, and director and researcher of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at Boston University; and S K Mohanty, professor and researcher at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) of India.
