The study on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) published in 2021 by the Foundation is the most comprehensive research on BRI that has been done so far in Chile. Its greatest relevance is that it analyzes the initiative in light of the potential participation of a country with the characteristics of Chile, being a unique research in revealing the opportunities for our country of a potential rapprochement with this Chinese investment program. The study also provides a complete conceptual framework about the development and trends of the BRI and allows placing its origin and evolution in context to clearly identify the milestones associated with this initiative.
